Jumper - Primark // Skirt - H&M // Bracelet - H&M // Boots - Topshop 'All Sorts'

I currently stuck between Winter and Spring clothes and constantly find myself wanting to wear more Spring items but it is too damned cold. Today I decided on a neon skirt to add a bit of summeriness (yes that's a word) to my outfit but paired it with my fluffy jumper, which is now a bit tatty, to keep me warm. Best of both worlds eh? However I can't wait for it to be warm enough to go bare armed and dazzle everyone with my luminously pale skin.

Are you looking forward to Spring/Summer?

I have been in desperate need for some key make up staples recently so I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer at Boots on their Seventeen products. I used to see Seventeen as just another brand of make up for young teens but it is actually really good quality. I picked up Flawless Poreless Primer, Super Lash mascara and the Wow! 3 way highlighter.

Flawless Poreless Primer (£5.99) - I always mean to use a primer but I tend to not have a lot of time to do my make up because I am so slow at getting ready in the morning but I am making an effort to incorporate a primer into my make up routine. I think this primer is supposed to have a similar effect to the Benefit Porefessional and even has a similar texture but the fact that it's more of a solid primer it's quite difficult to get enough out to cover your face. With the Benefit primer, a little bit goes a long way but I don't think the same applies with this product. However it does seem to reduce the appearance of pores and doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy so is a much cheaper alternative to the Benefit Porefessional.

Wow! 3 Way Highlighter (£5.99) -  The highlighter in my Sleek contour kit is slowly wearing away so I thought I would invest in a new highlighter and opted for this one after seeing it on Kate's blog. It can be used in 3 ways, hence the name, as a primer, to add definition to your foundation or simply as a highlighter. I don't really like the idea of smearing it all over my face as it is quite shiny so I tend to just use it as a basic highlighter. I really like this product and it is much better than the Sleek highlighter I used.

Super Lash Mascara (£6.99) -  I hold my hands up and admit that I may have bought this mainly due to the pretty packaging. You have to admit that it is pretty funky. I am pretty terrible at using mascara. I'm sure there is a correct way in which I am supposed to apply it and I am sure that I don't do it that way. This mascara really does enhance the appearance of my eyelashes but I do find it a little bit clumpy. However it may be due to my crappy applying skills because I know there are ways that you can avoid clumpiness so it's probably my own damned fault. I do really like this mascara and will continue to use it until it runs out and have to buy more which sucks because mascara buying is such a chore for me - they all just seem the same to me now.

Do you use any Seventeen products? Which are your favourites?

Jumper - Charity Shop // Jeans - Topshop Joni // Boots - Topshop All Sorts

I think this is my go to lazy day outfit for those very rare days where I cannot be bothered as it's a really simple and comfy outfit that won't get on my nerves. It's easy to just sit and be cosy in with a cup of tea and a pile of revision (yuck!).

Dress - Topshop // Hat - River Island // Necklace - Primark // Boots - Dr Martens

So another thing that I bought when in London is this beautiful gingham dress that is similar to the White Pepper gingham dresses that everyone seems to have been loving since last summer. I finally got my hands on this more reasonably priced one from Topshop and I am in love with it, especially the smock style fit. I also like that it's not too thick as it means I can wear it in the summer. Today however I paired it with a statement necklace, my awesome hat and my trusty DMs which add a little pop of colour to the outfit.

Spring Nails

So recently I posted my favourite Winter nail varnishes so today, seeing as Spring is certainly on its way, I thought I would share with you the shades I will be wearing during the next season. My go to colours in terms of both wardrobe and nails during the Spring and Summer are definitely pastel colours because they are so easy to wear and mix and match. When I want something quite bold I opt for the Barry M Nail Paint in the shade 'blueberry' (I cant find the exact shade on the website). I really love the Barry M nail varnishes, especially this one as it doesn't need several layers to build up the colour so it's quite good to just quickly apply. When I want something I bit more subtle I use the pink Topshop polish in the shade 'prim and proper'  (similar here) which I loved for a good couple of years now. Unfortunately they don't sell this shade anymore which is a shame because it's just the right shade of pastel pink without it being too bright or too pale and it's perfect for when you're in that random summery-girly mood. Another shade that is perfect for the spring is the mint MUA colour in the shade 'pistachio ice cream' which my friend bought me for my birthday. It's a really pale pastel green and to me looks like it should glow in the dark but sadly it doesn't (dammit). Despite this it is a really cute mint colour and is quite subtle and I think it would look really nice with cute black and white dresses. Finally the other MUA polish in 'moody mink', which was also featured in my winter nail varnishes post, is perfect for both the colder and warmer months - it's basically an all rounder really. I am just so in love with the colour and is a really good polish to say that it's pretty cheap.

There we have it. The nail varnishes that I will be wearing this spring. Do you opt for pastels in spring or do you prefer brighter colours?

Sunday Post #8

Happy Easter lovelies, I hope you're all getting fat off chocolate eggs and Lindt bunnies mmm. Oh how the Easter holidays have come and gone so quickly. Where has the time gone? I have spent my two weeks attempting to revise, drinking endless cups of tea and coffee and spending too long on history essays. I have however managed to schedule lots of posts and have posted quite a few things too.

Muji Storage - I recently bought some beautiful new make up storage that I just had to share with you.
Spring - Just an outfit post featuring a few new things and bright pink lipstick to get me spring ready.
Feeling Pink - I have been loving pink make up recently so in this post I shared my favourites.
Smock Dress & Turtle Neck - In this outfit post I desperately wanted to wear a summery dress so I shoved a turtle neck underneath to make it weather appropriate. When is the full load of sunshine coming!?
Out and About: Lets Go On A Walk & Vlog - I was getting bored of my usual outfit posts so I went on a walk with my lovely sister to take pictures and decided to vlog a few bits as well.
Florals for Spring? - Another post with those Topshop boots but they make midi skirts look so much better.

Florals for Spring?

Jumper - F&F at Tesco // Floral Midi Skirt - Charity Shop // Boots - Topshop All Sorts // Belt - Primark (really old)

I think I have probably posted an outfit very similar to this one in the past but hey here it is again but with my my favourite boots that I am sure you're all getting sick of seeing but it does make a change from my array Dr Martens. I think that heeled boots make midi skirts work on almost anyone especially us shorties because it stops our legs from looking short, stumpy and utterly ridiculous. Thank you heels.

The little glimpses of sun are making me really excited for summer!

Out and About: Lets Go On A Walk & Vlog

Jacket - Cow Vintage // Dress - Topshop // Necklace - New Look // Sunglasses - Primark // Boots - Dr Martens // Lamb - Nature's best
So I took advantage of the sunshine and scenery today and whacked on my dress and bare-ish legs (I wore clear tights). It was a little bit windy so I had to put on my favourite vintage jacket that is very Joseph and his technicolour dream coat and is a weirdly perfect match to the brightness of the dress and boots. I decided to film a few bits whilst I was out so I shall leave you with a vlog of my day.

Smock Dress & Turtle Neck

Dress - Mink Pink via Urban Outfitters // Turtle Neck - Primark // Socks - Topshop // Shoes - Dr Martens

This is one of my favourite outfits at the minute as it's not really warm enough to wear the dress on its own since it's quite thin but I am so bored over wearing the same cardigans over my outfits. I need a new cardigan or two but I just can't find one that I like because they're never in the right colour/length etc. For know I can cope with putting normal and turtle neck jumpers underneath things and I think it works particularly well with this dress smock style Mink Pink dress that I picked up at the end of last summer. I have also managed to get my hair in the half up bun thing finally - it's not like it has taken me like a year to get right or anything. And this is why I don't do hairstyle tutorials on my blog.

Hope you're all having a lovely week.

Feeling Pink

It seems that I am loving pink make up at the moment, perhaps it's because spring is on the horizon. Firstly is the Topshop cream to powder blush (£7) in the shade 'head over heels'. I do tend to have naturally rosy cheeks so I don't to apply much but it does add a nice touch of colour to your cheeks. I tend to use a highlighter with this as well just to blend it in a bit more. I don't have many pink lipsticks so I was super happy when my friends bought me these two for my birthday. Firstly the MAC lipstick, in the shade Vegas Volt (£15), is a perfect replacement for my Barry M coral shade that I somehow managed to lose but has greater lasting power and doesn't dry out my lips. I was equally impressed with the Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie , in the shade Risk It All  (£16) which also managed to stay put on my day out in London for over 12 hours without reapplying which for me is significantly impressive. The only issue I have is that I have now entered the world of higher range make up and I fear that I might find it hard to be satisfied with drug store make up and those of you who regularly read my blog will be shocked to hear that!

Have you been loving pink make up recently?

Cardigan - F&F at Tesco (my sister's) // T-shirt - Primark (men's) // Skirt - Urban Outfitters // Boots - Topshop All Sorts // Necklace - Primark

My lovely sister bought me this beautiful grey t-shirt and statement necklace for my birthday so what better things to pair them with other than my favourite skirt and boots. I can see that this is going to be one of those go to outfits for when I can't be bothered of thinking of something new to wear.
