Lilac & Velvet

Jumper - Primark // Skirt - Charity Shop // Shoes - Dr Martens // Midi ring - Primark

So the weather was up and down today. One minute it was peeing it down with rain and then the next minute the sun was shining brightly (see first two pictures). The sun kind of ruined the first two pictures because it was so bright but it was either than or pictures of me looking like a drowned rat. I love wearing pastels in the winter especially this jumper because it's so snuggly.

Can you believe October is nearly over? Bring on Christmas (no snow though please).

It's So Fuffy

Jumper - Primark // Shirt - Charity Shop // Jeans - Topshop Joni // Shoes - Dr Martens
So the other day I bought one of those fluffy jumpers that everyone has been raving about and I can tell you that it was the best £10 I have ever spent. I feel like I am getting a hug from a (non-dangerous) fluffy bear. I decided to get a black one because black is obviously the best colour but mainly because it matches with everything. I intend to buy (hopefully) the black fluffy cardigan and a pink jumper so I can wear them all the time. Today I played it simple and wore it with my black jonis from topshop and with a shirt underneath. I keep overloading my brain with all the different outfit possibilities.
It was incredibly windy when I took these photos. Are you all ready for the mahoosive storm? I really hope that it doesn't really come anywhere near the north! Good luck with the 80mph wind guys!

Boyfriend Coat

Coat - Primark (last year) // Shirt - H&M (old) //Leather Skirt - H&M // Necklace - Topshop // Earrings - Superdrug // Boots - Dr Martens

Hey guys! As per usual, I decided to wear pretty much all black today and also went against the whole 'navy and black don't go together' rule because yolo and all that. I got these earrings the other week for my friend's birthday party. It was very last minute and out of all the places I could go to, I went into Superdrug and found these amazing metallic/holographic ones.

I finally have a week off sixth form so I will try my hardest to do more posts!

What's in my makeup bag?

Today I thought I would do something a bit different and do a what's in my make up bag post. I did one a very long time ago and it was literally the worst thing you will ever have seen so hooray a new and improved post. The items that are in my make up bag are the things I use the most and on a daily basis.
This is my make up bag. A family friend gave us loads of material when she was moving house so I decided to use it to make myself a make up bag. Pretty impressive eh? It's quite spacious and a bit flimsy and I should probably buy a proper one.
These are the thing I use on my face. When I first starting bothering with make up I used the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse and when I recently run out of my other foundation I bought this because I was desperately in need and knew that it was pretty good. Like every other person in the blogosphere, I use the collection lasting perfection concealer because it is indeed magical and covers everything. I also use the collection sheer loose powder which gives a smooth matte finish to your face. Now for one of my favourite products, the Sleek contour kit. It is amazing and comes with a brown powder and a highlighter which together make you look like you have the face of an angel.

Recently I got rid of all of my eye shadows because I had them for ages and thought it was time to buy some new. I bought the MUA dark brown and light brown eye shadow for a natural look and for when I can be bothered I will use the more smoky shades. I rarely ever wear eyeliner but when I do I just use a cheapo one from ASDA, I probably should use a 'proper' brand but I don't. When I have time I use the Collection Extreme felt tip eyeliner for the cute little eyeliner flicks but I can never make them even. On my lashes I use the Maybelline mega plush volume mascara which makes my eyelashes appear lovely and long. Again for when I can be bothered I use the Famous brow kit but when I do I have to be careful because I have a serious case of wonky eyebrows/wonky eyes/wonky head.

These are the brushes I use for my makes up, I don't use a foundation brush with the matte mousse because it makes it go crumbly. (L-R) Loose powder brush, highlighter brush, contour brush, eyebrow brush, eye shadow brush for the brown shades, eye shadow blender, slanted eye shadow brush, brush fro darker eye shadow shades.

I hope the post has been relatively interesting to see what I have in my make up bag. As you can see I don't use all the top brand make up as I am completely happy with the high street brands.

Week In Photos #39

Polish Coke bottle // Drunken selifes // Dug out the tartan scarf // New earrings // Henna tattoo // OOTD - vintage cardigan and H&M leather skirt // Toasted bagel and a ham salad for dinner // Drunken disposables from my sister's 21st // OOTD
I think it's safe to say I have had a busy couple of weeks and I don't think they are going to get any less hectic. The other week I went to Poland to visit two of the three Auschwitz camps and I have to say it was such a life changing experience. A few days after I went to my friend's 18th and got a little bit (a lot) drunk. I hope you've all had a lovely week!

Red Velvet

Velvet dress - Topshop (old) // sheer/mesh jumper - Charity Shop // Boots - Dr Martens // Lipstick - Sleek 'Vamp' (review here)
You know it's Autumn when I start to dig out all the velvet items I own, starting with this amazing red velvet dress that I bought a few years ago from Topshop for a mere £20. I always forget how much I love the dress until I wear it. Today I put my sheer/mesh/whatever you want to call it jumper underneath and I really like the combination of the two. I really need to get some kind of other footwear because I literally live in my docs and they are slowly becoming incredibly battered.

Polyvore: Modcloth

I was recently contacted by Modcloth asking if I wanted to participate in their Uniquely You campaign where they provide each blogger with an image of a piece of clothing from the Modcloth range and then you have to piece together an outfit using other items from the site. For those of you who don't know Modcloth are a vintage inspired brand who produce lots of quirky, retro pieces.

The image I was given was the Remarkable Without a Cause dress which, as you can see, is a gorgeous red dress with a very retro style. I decided that the dress would look even better with a belt so I opted for a simple one to easily match the shoes and bag which is obviously amazing - who doesn't want a bag in the shape of a cat (sorry dog lovers)? To match the gold detailing on the bag and belt I opted for a gold necklace and chose this adorable one which consists of lots of tea pots and tea cups! I was really spoilt for choice when looking at the necklaces. They had lots of dainty and pretty one such as this blue gemmed one as well as lots of cute ones, including this telescope necklace. Finally I felt that a pair of cat eye sunglasses would complete the outfit and add to the retro style of the dress.

What do you think of this outfit? Do you like Modcloth too?

Polyvore #1

Black Velvet

I have always loved scrolling through pages and pages of people's Polyvore sets and dreaming of perfect outfits so I have finally made a Polyvore account of my own. It probably wasn't the best idea since I will probably spend all of my time creating fab outfits instead of doing stuff I actually need to do. Anyway these are the two sets I have put together so far, the first is something similar to what I plan on wearing to my friend's 18th but obviously mine wont be as glam. The second is just an outfit I am forever dreaming of, I love pastel colours teamed with white and gold accessories. Some may see it as a bit tacky but tacky is my middle name.

Tartan Midi

black jumper - F&F at Tesco // Skirt - Charity Shop // Shoes - Dr Martens // Necklace - Topshop // Belt - Primark
Since it is Autumn I am head over heels in love with tartan things and I was in desperate need of a skirt. It is a bit big for me but it's nothing a belt can't fix. I played it safe and paired it with a basic black jumper from Tesco as well as all my favourite gold jewellery.
Tomorrow I am heading off on a day trip to Poland meaning that I will have to be up at 3am and will be awake for at least 21 hours. The thought of that makes me feel a bit queasy but it's all for a good cause.

Talk Dirty To Me

Hat - H&M // Dress - ASOS // Necklace - Topshop // Boots - Doc Martens

Hi guys, I have finally got round to doing an outfit post. I bought this dress about a week ago mainly to cheer myself up because of the amount of sixth form work *cries*. It was a measly £22 in the sale and I absolutely adore smock dresses so I thought why not. I obviously paired it with my trust DMs and also threw my bowler hat on to take advantage of the lack of wind.

Today I did something drastic. I bought a Christmas present. I know, I know but I couldn't help myself but now I can't stop thinking about Christmas. Send help!
