Cardigan - Primark // Crop top - Primark // Floral skirt - charity shop // Belt - Primark (maybe?) // boots - doc martens
I planned this outfit last night and I was getting all excited to finally wear something a little bit summery and then it snowed. In the middle of April it snowed. In one day it had been sunny, rained, hail stoned and snowed. I have no idea what is going on with this English weather but it needs sorting out. Perhaps the apocalypse it coming.

Anyhow, this skirt is supposed to be a bit longer but I didn't like it as much like that so I rolled it up and whacked on a belt. This outfit looked a lot nicer in my mind and will probably be better for days when it's actually warm because today I had to get changed and put a massive jumper on because it was that freezing. I don't really like the cardigan with this outfit but I needed something to throw on top as my nicer cardis are all in the wash. What a hard life I live.

Black & Gold.

Top - Primark // Necklace - Topshop // Joni Super Highwaisted skinny jeans - Topshop

Okay so I finally jumped on the band wagon and bought the Topshop Joni jeans and I love them. I know you have probably seen this exact outfit on lots of other blogs but I have been dreaming of this outfit for song long! I wanted the red version of this top in Topshop over the Christmas period but they didn't have it in my size but I found one in Primark for £10 cheaper at £2.50! I have also bought a stripy one for £3. Such a bargain!

I have to admit the jeans cling to any flab you have which is a shame because I do indeed have flab. I probably made it worse by wearing a crop top but I don't care, I like pretty clothes.

I hope you're all having a fab week!

Film SLR

As mentioned in one my previous posts, I went around my local town testing out my new film SLR camera to make sure that it worked and here are some of the snaps that I took!

Coat - Primark // Jumper - Zara // Jeans - Primark // Shoes - Barratts* // Necklace - Tentative Decisions (won in giveaway) // Bag - Topshop (old)

This is what I wore today to take my sister back to uni. I wanted to be comfortable but to still look decent. I love this jumper, it's so baggy and comfy and great to wear over dresses in the summer. Today was the first time that I have worn these shoes without tights and I got myself a mighty blister, but it's okay because they're pretty. My neighbour laughed the other day when I wore these shoes and said that it looked like I had blocks of bubble on my feet.

Unfortunately tomorrow is back to school meaning exams are only one month away. I really wont be blogging much at all I don't think so please bare with me but I am sure you're all going to be revising too but if you're not then you are luck little thing aren't you?

Holy Fire

Dungarees - Primark (last year) // Jumper - Primark // Socks - New Look (old) // Shoes - Doc Martens

I put my dungarees on this morning and felt like a five year old so to top it off I put on my new look socks with gingham frills. I love dungarees but I never know what tops to wear with them so I opted for a striped jumper. It's getting to that stage where you don't need layers and layers but you still need a jacket of some sort. It's a sign that heat is coming (hopefully).

Today I went to see if my new film SLR camera works, the man in the camera shop put a film in and told  me to go around and take some photos and he will develop to see if it works. This was great apart from the fact that my local town isn't the nicest of places and people gave me weird looks for taking pictures of the market hall, the town hall, flowerbeds and the doughnut van. As well as this my neighbour has also lent me his film SLR camera to use so all in all I have three film cameras to use and not much to photograph. I need to get my thinking cap on!

I am off to my local vintage fair tomorrow so I will hopefully buy some stuff.

Hope you're having a fab weekend!

Dolly Daydream is a year old

Ok so today isn't technically my blog's birthday as I started my blog in January 2012 but I didn't start posting regular, more bloggy posts until as year ago today.
I think blogging from a younger age is a bit risky I mean, when doing this post I was looking back at old outfit pictures and I have to admit it was cringey! But that is what a blog is all about, seeing how your style develops over time and if you don't mind me saying, I think my sense of style has improved a hell of a lot over the past year. I have learnt that it really is best to take outfit pictures in a tidy room rather than when it's a tip. Either that or clear a section off when doing outfit pictures to make it appear that your are tidy - sneaky eh.
Anyway I would like to say thank you to you all for following and all of the lovely comments that I receive - I really do appreciate it.
Happy Birthday Dolly Daydream!!!

p.s. don't forget to enter the giveaway that I'm hosting to win some Firmoo sunglasess. It ends on 8th April!!

Dress - Topshop // Necklace - Primark // Lipstick - Infrared by Topshop (review here)

On Friday I did they very typical British thing and got giddy at the sight of sun, however it wasn't warm enough to go barelegged so I had to opt for clear tights. I love this denim dress and how there are different tones of denim. There was a lighter version of the dress which looked just as nice but I think darker blues suit my hair better. I will be wearing this dress a lot, especially in the summer but hopefully I can find different ways to style it without making the posts seem too repetitive.

I'm having a very boring Easter break full of revision but today I'm popping to the post office to pick up something that has been waiting there since last Wednesday (oops). I have no idea what it is so I'm quite excited.

I hope you're all enjoying your time off and revising hard.

p.s. don't forget to enter my giveaway to win a pair of sunglasses or a discount voucher for Firmoo. All who enter will receive something!
